Meet the Crew

Ray founded Sunray Builders in 1993 and is dedicated to improving the homes and lives of families across the midcoast Maine region. With over 30 years of experience in the home building industry, Ray leads a small team of skilled craftsmen and has long-standing relationships with Maine’s best subcontractors in specialty trades.

Away from the job site, Ray enjoys spending time with his wife Sheila and daughter Samantha. His interests include playing ice hockey, creating stained glass artwork, paddle boarding, and exploring the many hiking trails behind his West Bath home with their 3 dogs. Ray is well-regarded in his community for both his quality craftsmanship and good character. 

A true family man, Matt spends his days working and playing with his young boys. Teaching them how to swing a hammer and stack wood. He loves making trails in the woods with his big pup Henry and spending time fixing up his own home. 

With starting during summers in college, Matt has 12 years building with Ray Youmans and is happy to be part of the Sunray Builders family.

Mike arrived in Maine in 1982 with the Navy and has never left. He has been with Sunray Builders since 2006.

In his off time, he enjoys woodworking, grinding fiberglass, and reading technical manuals.
